Yoga
is not what you think it is |
|
Yoga
means unity,
|
|
complete
harmony of body, mind and soul. It
is about ´doing´ and feeling what you do, concentration and awareness.
Practice begins with pranayama (breathing excercises), which is the essential ´fuel´
for every movement of the human body.
|
|
Beginners
learn the basic postures, like standing poses, twistings, simple back-bends,
forward bends, shoulder balance and resting poses.
|
|
Using
the principles of gravity, alignment of bones and muscles and correct posture,
combined with the breathing will enable the student to perform the asanas (yoga
postures) with ease and beauty.
|
|
If
you like to experience yourself this ancient traditional art, you are welcome to
join the classes.
|
|
By
going back to the roots of yoga, B.K.S. Iyengar found a new, inspiring way of
classical Hatha yoga. (Hatha yoga is the physical practice of yoga.)
|
|
The
main accent lies on the development of inner strength, suppleness, balance,
intelligence and concentration.
|
|
How
to dress: for example T-shirt and shorts, or leggins, bare feet and visible
knees. Avoid too tight or too loose out-fit.
|
|
For
pleasant yoga practise avoid eating approximately two hours before the class.

The Netherlands. Was a dancer and teacher in ´Rina Scheinfeld Dance Theatre´,
Israel. Teaching Yoga
classes in Amsterdam, Utrecht and Antwerpen.
Recently studying
with Dona Holleman
and Orit Sun-Guta.
